Gravity Boarding Company was established in 1994 from a Solana Beach garage by founder Michael Bream. As both a surfer and skateboarder, Bream sought to create a board that replicated the surfing experience while skating. Leveraging his engineering background, he developed the 47-inch Hyper Carve, marketed as the "High-Performance Streetboard."
Bream initially distributed boards to local surf shops. Interestingly, core skate shops showed little interest due to the longboard length. Despite this setback, demand grew quickly, and the products became recognized as "gravity skateboards."
Today, Gravity Boards continues to push the boundaries of skateboard design and performance, offering a wide range of completes, longboards, cruisers, and accessories for riders of all skill levels.
